Barack Obama Defaces Liberty

Today I was looking around YouTube and noticed a video posted of a TV shopping channel.  The video was very shocking if Obama is our new liberty for the country of America.  I have posted the video on this site so you do not have to go searching through all the videos on YouTube.  The impression that I got was Lady Liberty was covered up by this new guy on a 2008 Silver Eagle coin, and he is not even president yet.  Has there ever before been a coin made up of a “president elect”?

The question I kept wondering as I watched this video was the color picture part of the coin or is it just sitting over the actual real 2008 Silver Eagle coin?  I would like to see some comments from people who have purchase this coin and know a little more about it.  In my opinion this coin is a symbol of a person defacing Lady Liberty.  Quite literally, Barack Obama is covering over the face of the coin with his very own mug.  We have yet to see if this man helps bring us more Liberty!  Does he deserve to be on a coin yet?  Again I do not know if he is actually on the coin or just a picture over the coin.

Ok so lets say that it is just a picture over the 2008 Silver Eagle coin and not some kind of impression.  Why would anyone in their right mind pay $49 for a coin that only costs $15?  Couldn’t someone just print this picture out off the Internet or cut it from the newspaper and place it over the coin?  I just had to talk about it because this man (and that is all he is - a man) ironically could in a very short time be taking our liberties away.  The Barack Obama coins should be his own legacy and not associated with the prestige and history of the Silver Eagle coin.

One Final Note - I just found another video and showed to a friend that this new coin replaces President John F. Kennedy with president elect Barack Obama.  My friend said “is that a joke”, and I replied “no this is a serious sale”.  Here is the other video of the gold plated Barack Obama coin set.
